If we don’t make sacrifices to the Dragon, it’ll eat the village!
That’s what you sound like. AI doesn’t exist, but it’s going to take your job anyway. And it doesn’t matter if you support it or not. Your devotion and support will not be rewarded.

Yes, everyone who does not like AI is terrified. You nailed it. /s

God your showers must be miserable. Have you considered using something other than ice cold water?

you assume it’s fear …
AI answers and results, ALWAYS need double checking because it lies, gives false I formation, pulls random bullshit sources from. shitty blogs that also lie, things change and it pulls the old information then trys to double down by saying it’s sorry, and how we are wrong…
it’s not fear at all, ai is inherently stupid because it’s sources are also stupid.

Its stupid because its not intelligent, its just artificial. A glorified autocomplete basically. It responds with something that very closely resembles an answer of a human, but just by looks, not content (because it doesnt understand it).

Anti-AI folks are making a (…) mistake
What mistake are you talking about ? How do you avoid it ?
in this field, most everyone will, of course, make mistakes since it is still a widely unknown and it is still evolving fast.(…) huge (…) out of fear. (…)
Most of “AI” related things are huge, it’s trivial. Also, only fools do not feer at least one consequence from “AI”.

Today I asked AI to remove all the lines in a file that had some string in them.
It worked. I felt awful thinking how much power I wasted doing that when I could have just read the man page of sed or awk.
I did, and it was ridiculously easy to do what I needed with a fraction of the power. And I got some nice knowledge to go with it, that I proceeded to add to my aliases file.
I’m not afraid of AI. I have a local instance to play with. The technology is just too wasteful and fallible as it stands today.
