YouTube alternatives. Are there any high traffic alternatives?

Not for watching, for posting content (so Nebula is out with their super secret handshake entry standard).

I don’t want to play to a bullshit Algorithm or make horrible thumbnails.

Peertube. You are already on the fediverse. So you know how it is. Its very much in the beginning phases still. And nitch. Although theres a ton of good videos out there. Just search by top and subscribe to who you like.

Aagh you almost made my brain forget how to spell “niche.” Please don’t do that to my brain.

            what’s wrong with nebula?

If you make vaguely leftist content, there is means.tv

OP wants to post videos, not watch them. Nebula is invite only and generally only invites those with a decent body of work.

Nebula is a Zionist platform. Which is why Second Thought switched to means.tv https://xcancel.com/means_tv/status/1763205694331720077

Do you have any context on nebula being zionist? I’m not questioning your statement, I’m just curious and lazy.

It’s JT saying that Nebula wanted both-sides Zionism for his videos on Gaza.

Vimeo is on the way out, so Peertube is probably your best bet but it’s nowhere near what anyone who relies on an audience would consider adequate.

Well, we’ve got to start somewhere. If we more people post there then more of an audience will come

Oh I fully agree, but for someone who needs to make money, it makes more sense to post to multiple places including PeerTube instead of just PeerTube.

If you’re making content for fun and not trying to make money off it then PeerTube would be the way to go. You can help build the catalog. If you want to make money then unfortunately YouTube is kinda the only way.

I’ve been thinking too, that if I generate content I should post to both services, but mention the better one. Like “if you want no ads, I’m on peertube as well”. Naturally drive people there.

Have a popular, wildly successful YouTube channel with slickly-edited videos. The second-lwbel handshake is to be personal friends or professional collaborators with somebody already in Nebula.
