Shame. I liked him as a character, thought he spoke a fair bit of shit on times, but the real beauty was getting an unfiltered answer every single time - a rarity these days.

RIP Eddie. One of F1s great characters. Always loved his passion, enthusiasm and zest for the sport.

I didn’t realize his condition, I just casually tuned in and DC had different people on and mentioned Eddie recovering. Hope everyone can get together and mourn, sounds like there’s endless stories to tell.
RIP Eddie. Always enjoyed his commentary and unfiltered take on F1 as a whole. He was there with BBC when I first got into the sport.
