See my comment above yours, its really such a refreshing Windows experience, it feels like the good old days.

I used to be an xlite fan, but have since discovered 11 IoT Enterprise LSTC. massgrave.dev
Same idea of bullshit free, but more stable and straight from M$, themselves. Defender and Edge ONLY.
Then install StartAllBack on top of that. Everything feels sane, and snappy and back to sanity.

If you reformat, look into 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC. massgrave.dev

For the first three, those are so they can download via Usenet/Newsgroup instead of torrents.
I’ve never heard of the anime one, could also be Usenet.

If Valve can make wireless vr AND fix windows only anticheat, both next year, I’m going to be 10 different kinds of happy. I would love to basically never need my W11 SSD ever again.

This right here. They’re fast to react to Twitch changes, too. I personally use the video-swap-new.

Which is where StartAllBack comes into play. Its not just one sluggish mess. It feels normal lol.

For real, lmao.

Some anecdotal evidence, but when I boot into my W11 install for certain online games, I have none of these issues mentioned. My 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC + StartAllBack setup- knocks on wood- continues to be bullet proof. For anyone who still needs Windows, I highly recommend it.

Don’t forget quite possibly the worst UI ever conceived for a PC game.
That works, too! 😂
I don’t know if 10 in general will stop getting Win NT updates, though?
Not everyone is going to want to switch to Linux just yet, and that’s OK. For those people, this is as good as it gets for Windows.
It is still a fully fledged x86-64 Windows. You can install literally any program designed to work on Windows, legacy or not.
It is still Windows, only they have stripped out everything non essential for reliability for high uptime, think ATM machines. This would be like saying Gentoo or Arch isn’t designed to be used on home PCs.
You can install the MS App Store and Xbox app, and others should you want to. It just doesn’t come with them. I have switched all my friends to this Windows and half of them use it with Xbox Games Pass, and one like the ease of getting everything from the MS App Store.
The common person might not want to use Linux for any number of reasons. This is as good as it can get for those who do not want to switch. Not wanting to switch is fine, and shouldn’t be shamed.
For privacy since it’s an Enterprise version, you can disable all built in telemetry. It just takes some entries in things like group policy and registry editor.
My version numbers on 11 IoT seem to be bleeding edge for core fuctioning. It’s PERFECT for PC gaming, honestly. No Xbox, no gamebar, no AI, no shit getting installed after new updates.
The no license legally is why I linked massgrave. Permanent hardware activation. If they wont sell the license for the only good current Windows, then fuck them.

People are huffing massive hopium if they think that 343, of all studios, is going to put out an UE5 game that isn’t unoptimized trash.
Edit: doesnt seem to be 343 anymore!
Edit edit: apparently still 343 lol.
Avoid all this with W11 IoT Enterprise LTSC

I used to use X-lite awhile ago, but have since swapped to w11 IoT Enterprise LTSC. You can disable all the Windows telemetry since it’s an Enterprise variant. It’s honestly the only way to make modern Windows a solid and good experience. A fresh install will feel almost exactly like how a fresh install of XP/7 used to. It comes with Edge + Defender, that’s it. No Xbox nor AI nor bloat like Candy Crush.
I seriously cannot recommend it enough.
Regardless, also using StartAllBack is like the cherry on top.

I used to love Hunt, but then the meta became too fast for me, I loved taking that game slow and sneaking. Now it’s just pick the best guns and run run run.
Grey Zone I have yet to try, but the concensis seems to be let it cook a bit more?
I didn’t get to play enough Hunger yet to experience customization, just trying to learn the maps and get new weapons. I didn’t even get to try any PvP the maps are so large.
The biggest hurdle they’re facing by far is game performance/optimization, so far the game has run terribly! The last play test I capped my FPS to 30, otherwise it was all over the place to the point of giving me motion sickness, so it diminished a lot of desire to play more. And I play a decent amount of VR and never get motion sickness. 5800X3D + 6800 XT and W11 IoT Enterprise LTSC for reference.
I’m trying to walk a fine line of not revealing much outside what can be seen in their trailers since NDA, lol.
The immersion feeling and overall excitement during matches was on point though. It has such a fun and unique setting!

Youre probably correct about Hunger. It’s fun, but it is slowwwwwwwww and way more “hardcore” compared to ARC Raiders. I’m in their NDA play tests, for what it’s worth.
Hi, my names Kyle, I’m 6 white Monster drinks deep, and I’m ready for a crashout if I lose this next CoD match and derank.
