I don‘t know what you mean. I can have vertical or horizontal bars wherever I want, how many I want and with different apps pinned to each if I want. KDE Linux btw.

That was really clumsy on the side of the workers. Discord is the last App I would use to organize a union. What were they even thinking?
On the other hand that probably means they use discord for literally everything including communication within Rockstar, albeit unofficially. So yeah if their employer had any consistency in firing people over NDAs they would probably have to fire most of the staff.

Those are the same people.

Creative freedom over how they fire people and sell IPs to pay off the mountain of debt they loaded the company with.

So Meta says pirating is not theft if it‘s for personal use, huh? Good to know.

I mean it‘s like the 10th time I‘m reading about THE breakthrough in Chinese chip production on Lemmy so lets just say I‘m not holding my breath LoL.

I think both sides make sense here. If you shoot at everything that moves and refuse to cooperate it can be a hell of a ride. But if you focus on looting and are willing to socialize it can be almost a cozy experience. It reminds me of Team Fortress 2 where players would sometimes just make up their own rules mid game and turn everything on it‘s head.

Wait, you say it‘s not $39.99 good but still worth the price? That‘s as much of a direct contradiction as possible.

So basically you have not tried it but complain about things you expect because…? Are you an EA or IGN employee or something?

Yep. Honestly if someone still uses Windows but complains about kernel level anti-cheat they’re hypocrites and only have themselves to blame. If you want sovereignty as a PC user you have to put in the minimum effort and not just sit on your ass and wait until big corp is spoon feeding it to you. That day won‘t come.

I mean it already is the biggest superspreader of far right content in Europe and I would assume in the US as well. But please don‘t come with anecdotes about your TikTok experience because it‘s the most personalized content platform so it‘s irrelevant what your feed looks like right now. I‘m saying this because often times at least one TikTok user will rush in to defend the platform with their personal experience whenever this is brought up.

I was fairly young at the time and wondered how they would try to pull this off. To the surprise of no one who was a little older than me they simply didn‘t. The only thing that was pulled was the project itself.

This is the new gilded age with the difference every halfway sane person already knows it‘s not pure gold but shit covered in gold spray paint.

Ah Palantir. Named after the magic crystal orbs in Tolkien‘s Lord of the Rings. They always show you the truth but encourage you to draw the wrong conclusions. I can‘t wait to see the Sarumans and Denethors the real life version will create…

Wow! Over 200.000 words spoken by over 130 actors does sound very ambitious. No wonder it takes that long.

I can see your point, though I belief it would probably be as superficial and soulless as an idol game as it is now. But I completely agree it‘s not a hill worth dying on. Inzoi in it‘s current form is a bit of a disaster and it will probably stay that way.

Someone introduce this person to indie games. It will shatter their world.

It‘s phrased „warns“ because it is just assumed that no one will eat. Because apparently that‘s a normal thing to assume in our society. That we‘ll all just starve to death soon.
I don‘t think we will but it‘s telling that a lot of rich and influential people do and are not only letting it happen but actively supporting it.

I don‘t think a K-Pop simulator would‘ve sold very well. Especially not in the west because a lot of it seemingly revolved around romantic relationships and keeping them secret at all cost. Even as little as being seen with the opposite sex in public is career suicide for an idol. That seems like a tough pitch for a game tbh.
Content highways are a concept that I have been thinking about for years. Basically extensions that cut all the crap and give you the web experience you want. Sponsorblock already goes into that direction but I do wonder if it can finance itself or will sell put it‘s users eventually. I hope that concept could be expanded upon to block/warn users about certain triggers for example or dark patterns where the „remove ads!“ button on Twitch.tv gets flagged for being a paid subscription button etc.
