I think you may have overlooked the part about “first party interface”.

Because you can hand someone else proof of purchase. The only way to truly prevent scalping is by verifying the purchaser’s identity, to ensure they cannot transfer it to anyone else. At least not without selling it through the distributor’s own channels where they will then collect a fee for the privilege of providing the proprietary platform to facilitate such transactions.

Played the demo and it was pretty great but I’m not going anywhere near anything with Denuvo.

Okay now get rid of the in-video ads and AI slop and I might consider actually using a first-party interface again.

Apple is uniquely shitty in having endless contempt for their own customers, which is why I’ve always avoided them. But this just seems like kind of a weird “last straw”. But hey, anyone boycotting Apple has my support.

Honestly I would probably pay for it and be happy but Premium doesn’t solve many of the problems that still exist:

• being shown the same content over and over
• Dislikes hidden
• in-video ads
• Shorts absolutely crammed down your throat everywhere
• broken search results
• AI-generated slop absolutely everywhere
• crypto spam
• Google-connected account using view history to spy on you

etc. etc. All problems Google could solve easily but simply won’t.
