Mentioning suicidal ideation usually isn’t enough to warrant a call. What will is when you start planning. If you get into details of how and who you’re contacting.

Here too she just mentioned it off hand and didn’t mention having a plan to go do anything. Seems excessive to do a call on that and really into “thought crime” territory.

Yeah pretty much. Tokens are how models parse sentences.

It’s a wonky thing to charge by because each model tokenizes sentences differently. A sentence that would be 10 tokens in Claude can be 15 in OpenAI.

It’s why it’s crazy to try and charge by it and track employee usage by it.

Dark Souls 1-3, Elden Ring, Lies of P and others typically do NOT let you pause. So you can’t stop in the middle of a fight.

I think this is slowly going away but a handful of clones still do this.

Elden Ring Nightreign has been my jam. Deep Rock Galactic and DRG Rogue Core are also fun.

But yeah otherwise a lot of MP games are ass nowadays. Too much lootboxes and hostile policies and not enough focus on fun.

Data centers have been around forever. Supercomputers and other large racks of computer hardware have been housed in them for decades. They have done a lot of good for research.

Even if you didn’t have AWS and the like modern sites/tech products need a lot more hardware than your random desktop computer to work. And that needs to be housed somewhere.

The AI ones they’re trying to build now to try and stack tech feudal territory? Probably not. I don’t think the demand is gonna be there long term.

A lot of tools like Claude or ChatGPT have internal tools they call when they do math (or use a python script) rather than have the model actually compute anything.

The underlying tech itself can’t do it because you can’t do math by token probability.

Also business customers are fleeing in droves because they’re forcing API only pricing for businesses and everyone is getting sticker shock at the costs.

Pretty much. And is getting its lunch eaten by the fact that people are using tools like Claude code and open code instead of vscode interfaces.

This is cursor cashing out on top before the fallout and Musk being stuck with the bag.
