This isn’t throwing shade since I’m not neurotypical but I could tell by the time she finished saying “hello friends” that neither was she.

Enterprises have very complex needs, and they generally aren’t going to pirate anything.

8 monthsYou could write a bash script to move the file from the download folder to the music library too.
Haven’t done any bash scripting in a minute so sorry if this is off, but you get the gist:
For files in /path/downloads/*; do mv “$files” /path/musiclibrary/; done
You can also output a list of all the files in your music library with ls -alR /path/musiclibrary >> /downlaods/musiclibrary if you want a list
Which you can grep for a file name to check if it’s there

8 monthsElite dangerous is a blast for a while. And it has vr.
I haven’t played since before you could go and walk around, but for what it is I loved it for a while.
Wide as an ocean and deep as a puddle but it takes a long while to notice the lack of depth and it’s a blast to pop in your vr headset and some good country trucking music and just hop around the galaxy trading.

I don’t drive. But if I did. And I bought a new car. The first fuckin thing I’m doing is shielding any wireless internal components or outright desoldering the SIM card from wherever the fuck they put it.
Nothing about what these companies are doing is okay.

If language learning models really are a dead end then maybe the next big leap forward will bring with it positive change. Maybe not.

8 monthsIf you use ai as an additive technology rather a replacement to things then really cool, ethical oppurtinitites open up for its use.
Rather than training a voice actor for a small handful of npcs that say the same four lines ad infinitum, pay them the same amount to License their voice, train a model, and use that for the game. Pair this with an LLM and suddenly you have pcs capable of saying all kinds of hillarious shit.
Have the coders that always write box behaviour to write the behaviour of npcs. The give players the option to talk them into doing some weird LLM powered shit.
Like. You can use ai to add things to games. It doesn’t have to replace people’s
I think a part of why people hate it is that idiots are trying to use it to replace things people do.
Where it’s best is when it does things people can’t

8 monthsYou’re right but that doesn’t mean I want that.
My sex port is absolutely dripping with chung
An ACTUAL use for an ai model, too, imo.
Not to make the game but for the creature. Maybe the villagers behaviour too. You could have the villagers talk to each other so they seem real, and have the creature learn as you interact with it.
The best part is that since there are ZERO stakes here it doesn’t matter if the thing hallucinates and starts doing insane shit, in fact, it could be preferable this way.
All the artists and designers and coders would still have jobs building the game, it would just be built around the absolute fucking abomination most people would end up nurturing.

Also there are SO many phones.
There’s only a few ps5s. I’m not sure if they share the same code that’s been leaked here but probably.
