I was about to make a joke about Playstation, but I can’t think of a good BluePoint pun.
They’re not rebooting they’re making a remake of the first game and a sequel to Underworld. Games journalism isn’t a real job.
The other article I read said they were updating the TR1 to match the gameplay style of the latest games.

at this point, human beings in the games industry that aren’t VC or executives are fully devalued. i think that’s as good of a sign as ever to ditch AAA altogether and put your talents to much greater use with indie studios.

I feel like for the big studios, the game industry is very much like the auto industry. If they want to operate like this fine, but maybe do a scheduled furlough while they shut down the plant during slow times?
I’m not a fan of that model either, but at least it’s more honest than hiring somebody With the promise of a career and laying them off when the game is done.
