Anybody over here interested in playing a git game ?

English

This game would be played on GitHub. One person would make a list of some food items, one would make list of some shopping articles, one would make a list of restaurants, and one would make a list of places worth sightseeing. These would be uploaded as a repository in GitHub. And then we shall collaborate.

If all you need is a git server, then Codeberg is as good as Github. Better if you consider uptime and reliability.

GitHub doesn’t really bother what you do with your account.

Why in git, and why on GitHub?

                      Why not in Lemmy comments?

Microsoft Copilot is Github’s AI helper.

Getting an AI to work properly in some Git Repos is like struggling against the entire world to get it functioning without screaming like a banshee.

                                            I’m “game”!

In that regard, is it just Github specifically you wish to learn? Or is it about repos in general?

Github is one name in many who have the same type of service. If you want to train on Github specifically, thats cool. But others like GitLab, Bitbucket, Codeberg exist that function similarly or just the same.

If you want to learn how to make pages, group contribute, to practice using GIT (the tool), etc, you can use any service not just Github. :)

What more do you wish to accomplish?

Basically to use git as a tool and to collaborate in projects. But GitHub gives much more freedom regarding what you do in your account.

I don’t know anything about bitbucket. GitLab is not for me.

Once you get used to Github and what it has to offer, you can get a better idea of how things work!
