Youtube Premium has YouTube remove the ads that they have control over. YouTube only has control of the ads that they add to the uploaded video, on either end or mid-rolls. They do not have control of the video content itself which is where creators add their own sponsorship stuff.

We really want YouTube to have unilateral control to determine what is and isn’t an ad, and to remove sponsored advertising that they are not a part of in uploaded content? Something that would also clearly be a conflict of interest as they are an advertising partner.

Yes the entire system saving that text, and maybe a still image handles that many… But the single camera taking each photo where the actual OCR processing is done ON THE CAMERA HARDWARE ITSELF only needs to handle maybe one or two each second… And only if it is looking at a busy road. At the distances these cameras can process, most are not handling a lot simultaneously. And very busy roads will have different hardware than the lower end camera systems used in most places.

So I finally let my Android Auto update from Google Assistant to Gemini, which it’s been wanting for months.

First thing I did was prompt it to play a specific artist, just like I do at least once a week since it forces me to use the voice activation instead of the on screen keyboard, even when there are passengers that can type. It responded saying it is not capable of playing music at all. Wtf.

So I then rephrase and tell it to play the artist on YouTube Music… And it does so, but doesn’t get the artist even close to correct. I had to prompt it 5 times with varying emphasis to get it to finally get it right.

So literally the first thing it did wa like to me… and then it worked correctly less than 20% of the time… So much better than the Assistant it replaced that never gave me a problem. Totally better.

There may be a lot of craft breweries in Canada now, but if they only sell in Canada and maybe the US border region you’re still looking at a fraction compared to even a US-only producer based on population alone.

The rest of what makes Flock… is processing after the fact. And that analysis is effectively the same as what any social media or advertising company does when they build a profile on you. Actually basically any tech company nowadays is making a profile for you and attaching it to whatever data they can get their hands on, and usually selling access to their data on you as well. And those are clearly considered legal. Whether they should be is a different topic.

Not sure public video recording amounts to a search and seizure. Is there case precedent establishing specifically that?

They could be looking for what features the other poster is looking for specifically that they might not have thought about. Take advantage of the time someone else has put into researching options. No need to do the same research again.

They also could want to know the brand doing that to avoid them.

Do you happen to live in the area the company is headquartered? Because I can’t imagine them flying a representative out for every ticket being contested.

I don’t think racism is the main issue.

I think it’s largely more that most Americans don’t eat nearly enough fiber in their daily lives. But nearly every item at Taco Bell has quite a bit of fiber in conparison. This throws their digestive system way out of balance.
