This is insanity. With alternates out there doing as well (in most cases better for things like plugin support) I can’t imagine Plex growing their base much after this.

Unless the real goal is to force users in to a monthly fee for good. Which I imagine it has to be. How long until the monthly sub increases? Anyone find value in plex at $750 for a lifetime?

I’m still sitting on my $79 lifetime from a decade plus ago but moved away from plex as my primary self hosting solution a few years back. They’ve been doing a great job of enshittifying and it seems to show no signs of slowing.
