I count Ripley following protocol and refusing to open the airlock for a contaminated crewmate. If Ash hadn’t stepped in, the movie would have ended very differently.

Also she defended Burke when the Marines were going to kill him for what he did. I mean she wanted him punished but… Letter of the law here. He was weak, she defended him.

I meant that Jonesy is the weak male that Ripley physically and emotionally protects.

I don’t remember much of that movie, but an Aliens / Evil Dead crossover sounds like a lot of fun.

I think that would work best as a comic. The two movies are too different in tone to put on screen.

The first Underworld from 2003 is like this, but it’s painfully early 2000s. It’s from that era when every action movie was ripping of The Matrix as hard as possible.

Before she destroyed her voice so bad she is unwatchable. I will add that it could be bad editing in her last few movies that make her voice so bad.

Similarly Edge of Tomorrow Emily Blunt is skilled and trains Tom Cruise until he’s competent enough to save the world. By the end they’re both extremely competent. Only reason Tom Cruise saves the world and not her is due to the timeloops. She’d already done it once.

5 monthsI wish they had followed the original story. The ending is very different.

They both still loop in the story. Before killing the big bad they fight to the death because the loop will keep repeating unless there is only one mimic (the reset aliens and both of them) at the end of the day.
He kills her and the other mimics then the big boss. Ending the loop at the cost of her life.

I am extremely happy they didn’t end the movie that way, what an unnecessarily depressing ending

Depressing endings are so rare in movies that I, personally, often enjoy them for the novelty if nothing else.

A sadly underappreciated show:
Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles

Easily the best terminator property after the first two. I mean that’s not a high bar, but i mean it should be held in the same esteem as they are.

Awesome! Be prepared, though: it’ll break your heart. They had the story worked out. Was going to be 4 seasons. We got 2.

One (okay, just Janeway) could argue that Janeway protected Tuvok from Neelix and Tuvix’s bullshit.
