Or just have a close ally who has nukes. China definitely wouldn’t let it fly if SK or USA tried to conquer NK.

Some countries imagined that the US would fill that role for them.

Gotta have 'em yourself. Canada needs to get our nukes back, even your closest allies are potential threats.

Yeah, gotta select your allies carefully. The US was kinda always a shitty ally, considering their conduct in south america after WW2 - the leap from fucking with Argentina (itself a white-dominated colonial state) to fucking with Canada isn’t that big.
That said, China considers NK to be in their sphere of influence and you don’t fuck with China. If anything, NK needs nukes to protect itself from China.

2 monthsAt this point I feel like the US has greatly crossed over from being a potential threat to a major threat to Canada. We definitely do need our nukes back and I’d like to believe we’re working on it

2 monthsUkraine had US nukes, too. They were removed for de-escalation.

I am pretty sure Ukraine had Soviet nukes, not US nukes. I might be wrong though.
EDIT: Yeah, it was their own soviet era stockpile.

Never trust another person that plays the game. Because the “game” itself is heartlessness.

I don’t think they were US nukes— they had soviet nukes briefly but agreed to have them dismantled in exchange for financial support and security guarantees.

NK is safe because trump admires it. It’s the deluded model for how he wants to reconfigure the US with him at the top
Conversely, venezuela has oil and wasn’t giving it to America. They have a left wing government. Trump wants to keep the Epstein stuff out of the news, lest the final few people out there who still don’t realise he’s a human trafficking pedo, find out.
I don’t think nukes prevent this one. Frankly I think he would have done it anyway, despite the risk.

I would be surprised if South Korea and Japan are not looking hard at a nuke program.

The rules in this comm are routinely ignored and it doesn’t seem like the mods enforce them. Why even have a “no politics” rule in the sidebar if they’re not going to take these posts down?
