For me, probably one of the underappreciated elements of shibari is the time it takes to do things properly, but maybe I’m just fussy or a perfectionist. I can always find something to criticize, in the ties I have created. That and a shit ton of rope of various lengths !
It definitely is work. Choosing the right ropes for the right uses, learning how to tighten correctly a knot, not hurting the model, having a nice looking result… Honestly I knew this one already but I still had to start over once and it took me half an hour
