If you made this yourself and are looking for feedback (that’s unclear), one issue is:
No branch of government should be allowed to accumulate too much power.
Surely by definition too much power is too much regardless of your personal threshold for “too much”, hence everyone’s answer will be the same?

I mean I am definitely on the left side of the spectrum, but I feel like with statements like
The worth of a product comes only from what people are willing to pay, not from its labor or social benefit.
or
Maximizing economic growth is more important than reducing inequality.
I feel like the quiz wants you to get certain results

I think they cut right to the heart of the divide/tradeoff between capitalism and socialism. Maybe you are just surprised to find out where you land on the spectrum? Also which side do you feel it’s pushing you towards?

I am strongly on economic-left/progressive, a little bit towards liberalism. That is the less surprising result I could imagine. I think it the quiz favours the left of the spectrum. I don’t think people would in general agree with the 2 statements I cited above the way they are formulated. But maybe I am already too disattached from society.

ITT the average person is actually just more left wing than they think due to powerful people who own media conglomerates constantly trying to package the right wing in a way that we will swallow and left wing ideals being all but outlawed in the media.

Actually, I think what you just mentioned is exactly part of the disconnect we often see between the common people and the ones in power.
The majority of us probably disagree with the cited statements, but then a large chunk of them get convinced to vote for candidates who support the opposite. Like how most Americans will agree with the Affordable Care Act until you tell them that’s what “Obamacare” is.

tell me you’re from the us without telling me you’re from the us. what’s a “branch of government”?

2 monthsEvery democracy has 3 branches (AKA powers): judiciary, legislative and executive.
lime!@feddit.nuEnglish
2 monthsno, not every democracy. every government performs those roles but they are not all split the same way. the nordic countries are single-branch and he chinese government has many more than three.

the nordic countries are single-branch
According to this official government page Norway at least does have separation of powers into multiple branches. I haven’t looked into the other nordic countries, but it’s hard to believe that they don’t at least separate out the judiciary (courts) from the rest.
Power in Norway is divided into three branches:
- the Storting – the legislative branch
- the Government – the executive branch
- the courts – the judicial branch

2 months1 branch = old system.
The 3 branches are there to counterbalance the powers… theoretically.
And China is something different.
lime!@feddit.nuEnglish
2 monthsthe nordic systems are based on popular sovereignty by proportional representation, which lies in opposition to separation of power.

Ohhh, I haven’t taken one of these since my /pol/ days more than a decade ago! Let’s see.
PD.: Unsurprisingly, I’m deeply in the lower left corner. 🤷

Smack in the middle of the economic left progressive libertarian quadrant. No surprises there.
