I’m just anti-modern design at this point. Too many dipshit fuck designers got degrees and think that made their word gospel.
All they do is check boxes without having a friggen clue why they’re doing it. It’s like the people who enable every single graphics “feature” in a video game and assume that makes it look the best.
Lemmy is a breath of fresh air with how well it blends function and form.
It’s an interesting idea, but I can’t help feeling that the “Aesthetic City” thing is undercutting itself with that one picture. Far more important than the building itself, for me, is how well it looks with the adjacent building, where the right-hand option is the clear winner. Makes me wonder if that’s a pattern throughout the whole project.

very interesting article, the building comparison kinda blew my mind.
Unfortunately I feel the visceral need to criticize the “unnecessary beautiful” of the Microslop icons, because in my opinion they are not only ugly, but also “soulless”, like the glass building.
