Yo, this was uploaded 45min ago and I see no link to that legendary weightlifting forum thread where they try to figure out how many days a week has? Shame! Shame, I say!

I’ve never seen this and it makes me so happy. Also I miss the old Internet.

I just want to add that the dramatised reading of the forum exchange is amazing: https://youtu.be/JqylqmDl0Mw

Both great things to wake up to on this Saturday, which as we all know now, is one day from Sunday.
It’s a great joke! It would be made perfect had he written some legible reasoning of his point on the pages that we might get a glimpse of.

He didn’t, because strongmen are known to be dumb, remember? If he would’ve made it perfect, it would’ve been out of character.

Even being in on the joke hes still dumb. Thats some metacognition jokeception business

Look at the username of the person you’re replying to, lol. Joke inception attempt.

Thought exactly the same.
Now, not all strong men are dumb.
But gawd knows I love me a himbo 😜

LMAO over here. Self-aware beefcake humour is hitting my funny bone.
Would have been reduced to tears, if on the last page he gave a sincere, knowing nod to camera, summing up the gravitas behind the message on all those pages.

I have a friend here that is too dumb to get it. Can someone explain the joke to him?

Theres a trend that existed on the internet awhile ago (probably at least 10 years at this point) where people would share intimate emotional feelings via the method of signs and sad music. They would write out the thoughts on pieces of paper and cry as they went through each one.
Generally with a theme of countering stereotypes or racism or bullying or whatever.
The reason this joke works is that the person themselves thinks they are following the trend while we as the audience can’t see the change in paper since they are lowering the one closer to THEM and not the one close to US. Which is an inherently dumb thing to do and so its counter to the “countering stereotypes” aspect of the original trend.
Think of it like "they say all strong men are dumb but im smart enough to know that 1 + 2 = 8
