not coming to pc unfortunately

7 daysCouple of problems:
- No UI, so typically that means, yes, in engine footage, but not real gameplay.

-
Wolverine shouldn’t be jumping around like Spider-Man, his skeleton is metal for gods sake!
-
The green kid, Leech, suppresses mutant powers. The healing factor shouldn’t work around him.
-
Not sure I like how Logan gets bloodied and the blood just… fades off.
+1 for using Marauders as cannon fodder though… They are cybernetically enhanced clones, kill all you want, they’ll make more!

- No idea what you mean by “not real gameplay”. It looks real, they said it’s real. The UI doesn’t affect gameplay so I’m not sure what you’re trying to say there.
- I don’t know which specific comic you’re referencing but every other piece of media he appears in depicts him leaping across vast distances. Games, comics, movies. All of them
- Sure, maybe it makes more sense with a crumb of context though.
- Fair enough. At least he splashes around in water when it fades 🤷

19 hoursAll too often developers pass off scripted in engine rendering as legitimate gameplay. They do this so they can control everything that is displayed, but also divert more resources to the graphics to make it look better for the promo.
The tell is when there is no UI to speak of.
Compare the Wolverine footage with in game footage from Spider-Man and you’ll see what I mean.

Wolverine has always been shown to be a mobile, little freak. Maybe not Spiderman-pirouetting but he has leaps and schmoves through the battlefield. The fact that his skeleton is metal is a nonfactor (for jumping) because he’s superhumanly strong.

7 daysTrue, but maybe there’s an alternative. Wash it off if he hits water for example.

7 daysThat’s generally why they keep Leech around, no collars needed. He can’t control his power so it automatically nullifies everyone.

6 daysWell a mutant would know that because they can feel their powers being dampened, but a human wouldn’t necessarily know what the green kid’s powers are until they run some tests. Maybe this is early in the story, before the humans know what Leech can do. Maybe the orders were “collar all mutants”, and the grunts aren’t empowered to make their own decisions in the field.

I get they were going for more violent, but the blood is like, distractingly a lot. There’ll be an option to turn it off/down, right?
slimerancher@lemmy.worldEnglish
7 daysI believe there will be. Games generally have such options to turn down gore or blood.
