30$/month is hilarious. We all knew they were going to increase the price to justify how much microsoft is spending but at that point you might as well buy your games. I guess it would make sense if you’re playing every day one release and are already subscribed to other things that are now included such as fortnite, ubisoft+…
but 99.9% of gamers are not that obsessed. I have a hard time believing there are many people willing to spend 360$ to play games that will disappear as soon as you stop playing. and I have a hard time believing most standard game pass subscribers will stay subscribed now that recently released games aren’t included. That was the only reason I bothered subbing for a month every year or so
It’s a problem only for the AAA industry, The market is correcting. It’s becoming clearer risky 200+ million dollar investments on one game that takes 8 years to make and flops on release isn’t working. This year especially showed the AA/indie scene thriving, so maybe this will just encourage smaller scale projects and investments in smaller companies
The post replies also provide more context as someone that doesnt understand the legal lingo of the official article
Huh.
So who’s betting that EA dissolves over the next few years and they start passing their IPs around to other companies? Not sure how I feel about this because on one hand it could end with EA in the gutter and their dead franchises in the hands of companies that still know how to make games
so frustrating to see everybody mass downvote posts like this because they dont like its contents. Stop shooting the messenger. The post is relevant to the community
Good. Reggie was a charismatic leader that pushed against Nintendo Japan to be more consumer friendly. This man did nothing and had zero presence. I wonder what he was even doing there.
Compatibility improved a lot since release, you can actually run most apps and games on an X elite now
That was part of it, but they hyped up the product so much as a Macbook M series competitor and made outrageous claims, including having very optimistic benchmarks. They shot themselves in the foot because any benchmarks compared to the macbook were against them, especially in efficiency. They promised Linux support shortly after launch too but it’s still not fully here.
It looks more like an upscale than a full remaster, but it can definitely look better yea
Review embargo for hades 2 also dropped. What a month it’s been for gaming, between Silksong, Silent Hill f, Hades 2, and a couple of other big name titles releasing within a very short time frame
quick, everybody act surprised!
Bitch you the ones that took the IP away from Team Silent and gave it to western devs who had no clue what to do with it.
Lets not act like Team Silent knew what to do with the franchise. Silent Hill 3 wasn’t as well received and Silent Hill 4 killed the franchise.
Not a huge fan of them removing the quick access sidebar but I like all the other changes. I like not having to scroll all the way up to search anymore.
No doubt. There are many factors that lead to this, from studios wasting years chasing live-service and failing, to AAA games generally taking way more time to make because they “need” 50+ hours of content to justify being $70, to most importantly publishers realizing that exclusivity is a bad idea.
Sony has been winning the console race vs Xbox but have been really slow at pushing out games. I like God of War but they’re putting out one game every generation.
That’s because you need an xbox account to play games on it at all, OP was probably asking about PC
I don’t think any singleplayer MS games require an account
The reviews are promising. I might pick this up on release after all
I’m just waiting for the reviews to see if it’s another Redfall
