Stop giving everything you have to these psychopath owners. You are empowering their ability to harm us further.

Not even gonna bother with this comment. It’s everywhere and obvious.
- gemakey@lemmy.worldEnglish13 days
I mean you’ll say it out loud but you won’t articulate it? Sounds like you’re just parroting what you’ve heard and don’t actually know anything about the subject. That’s fair.
- minorkeys@sh.itjust.worksEnglish13 days
That’s just ego bait you use to get into fights on the internet.
- gemakey@lemmy.worldEnglish12 days
I mean the fact that you feel baited says a lot. All I did was ask a question. Damn you guys are feisty here.
- gemakey@lemmy.worldEnglish12 days
Did I not ask a question? I believe I asked what harm was being done. So, yes, I just asked a question.

Deskilling, high water usage that often disrupts drought-prone areas, power usage, slop on the internet, designed to be as addictive as possible, etc…
- gemakey@lemmy.worldEnglish12 days
Why in the hell would you build an operation that requires biblical levels of water in a drought prone area? It seems the harm being done is more incompetence than actual malice.

Call me tinfoil hats, but likely it was done to chip regulations away. The techbros behind AI think any regulation is unneeded, because people are all rational actors, and bad stuff will be just boycotted, except they want to make boycotts illegal (today I’m also getting called “picky” for not liking Windows, etc.).

makes people lazy and dumb. critical thinking and memory declines at a staggering rate when you use slop generators instead of doing your own thinking.
those who oppose that burn out fast when forced to use it

14 daysThe most exhausting thing is that, in a number of technology spaces, there is a new development every 6 months that forces teams to scramble. And very few organizations have found a way to train people about the new advances and how they will impact their jobs.
It’s either changing a core operational workflow, changing whether your customers are staying / migrating to a different product, changing the roadmap, etc.

So many businesses don’t even need to be on the bleeding edge, but some overzealous middle managers are trying to make a name for themselves or have drunk the Kool aid trying to force every thing they see on linked in down the line.
I might be a little bitter over this.

13 daysDon’t forget about execs and board members who think AI is a good ways to squeeze more money out of a company.

Held heute = Arschkarte morgen
(sorry I don’t know how to translate that. “Sonderkommando” is more or less “suicide squad”, I think).
