        I know EGS is hated around here but I can’t help but feel this is a move in the right direction. Linux seeing more ‘mainstream’ support will only help solidify it.

        This does amuse me as I recall Tim was not too fond of the idea a few years ago.

            It is and should absolutely be hated. But I agree - it is still a positive. Even if EGS is a cancer, it getting an official Linux port means more corpos are willing to invest into Linux gaming. Which means gaming on Linux will be even more easy and comfortable.

            This does amuse me as I recall Tim was not too fond of the idea a few years ago.

            Yeah, he still hates open source software with all his heart (if he even has one), but he can never pass an opportunity for some more money. Billionaires have no principles, only bank accounts.

                I’ll believe it when I see it, and they could enable Fornite anticheat to work on Linux but they have yet to do it.

                It’ll help with engine management. Though I’d say compatibility has gotten worse during 5’s lifetime.
