Hello, my fellow Episkopol! I’m new here myself too. If you start one up I’ll subscribe!

That… Is some fucked up shit.

A few pieces of advice:
Get off of online social networks. Online social networks are bad for your still developing brain. This is not a criticism of you, only that you are a teenager and have a teenagers brain, and that there is a lot of really good psychological evidence coming out showing that being active in online social networks is really bad for you. I recommend that you delete all of your accounts and just enjoy being a teenager. (I swear, after a few weeks you really won’t miss it as much as you think you might.)
You aren’t over reacting. You are a teenager dating a teenager. If he’s not reacting to your texts we quickly as you like, that cool. So it’s not working out. Break up with him. It’s not going to get better. You really can still be friends at this point, and odds are your relationship probably wasn’t going to survive the post-high school-to-college distance anyway. Shrug it off, go buy a cute shirt for yourself and just enjoy being a teenager.
They were so… Innocent.
Like, everyone trusted everyone. Like, sure perfect stranger online, I don’t mind telling you my real name, home address, and age. What’s the harm?
I jump between social networks every few years. My social network path has gone from AOL chat groups, to Yahoo News groups, to Facebook for a few years, to Twitter, to Mastodon, to Reddit.
Last week I decided to test Lemmy out. Best thing I can say about it is that it’s not any worse than all the others. Which is a pretty good compliment really, considering the resources and network advantages that all the others have.
