I really don’t get why earbuds do not have much of the health device functionaility. Seems the perfect place for temp, o2, heartrate, etc and theoretically you should be able to judge steps from any point but between the phone and this you could triangulate.
honestly I can see getting this. To me the smartphone already is sucking up all your data and selling it. I can’t see this as any worse. Like any smartphone it remains off most of the time.

ugh. I used to have this discussion with my wife. She would always be showing me youtube stuff and Im like. Look here is a few logical things that make this kinda dodgy but it will take me a fair amount of time to find out why it is. Sometimes I would do it but I had to basically put my foot down that she needs to learn to research. actually ones with good sources and not more youtube videos. of course you also need to do an elementary logic class and maybe clues by sam and sudkoko or such regularly.
yeah actually I was weary about ai energy usage early on but ultimately determined it was really not all that much when comparing apples to apples. the real problem is people just going crazy doing things over and over that they otherwise would not be doing otherwise. Like generating images. but like using it as web search its more than one search of energy but you get more than one search worth of data. Also someone who uses their free time to talk with it as a buddy (I don’t get the appeal personally) instead of streaming video might very well use less energy.

look im far from a monger but this argument makes no sense. mdconalds makes food. which is a necessity. In addition its actually pretty well known for its efficiency. So its a question of output vs input. Now granted. super unhealthy but they don’t sneak mcdonalds into your home cooked meal while your not looking. This article is far from nonsense.

What annoys me is Im far enough from city center to survive in agony and im just helisure that the one targeted for the airport will come much later than the city center one. I dunno maybe I will be lucky and the airport would get hit first. That should be pretty instantaneous.

This does make me wonder because gemini now has an area for sorta global instructions. I immediately put a few in and came up with issues where they would not stick. gemini itself says some things are part of settings that are internal and says its being put there but I can’t see it. Further it clearly seems to ignore them sometimes. Most of mine were about not using analogies or personas and listing references and marking refrences that are just searches. Seeing this article its like is it ignoring this in a black box kinda way? because I assumed it was something google had in its unsseable configurations or did gemini just make that up to.
taxes should be progressive and keep going up because you should actually have to be smart and compentent to be wealthy. When we cut taxes in the 80’s we made it easier and easier for idiot trust fund babies to never lose their wealth.
Im thinking more casually I guess. Like folks that don’t otherwise use them but have earbuds in on a regular basis. Like communiting to and from work and such. I like walking and biking and kinda ideal for me would actually be a single one to keep the other ear free. geting stats for an hour twice a day seems like it would be kinda useful.
