What’s wrong with door to door sales? Should people with enough money to pay a landlord for a storefront be the only ones allowed to sell stuff, or just dropshippers on Amazon, or just big box stores like wallmart? Also, do door to door salemen even exist anymore? I think I’ve only seen them in movies from the 50’s

I honestly think landlords and the concept of landlords is one of the most destructive aspects of civilization.

7 hoursThe only good Trump is a dead Trump. Wonder if I will get banned for saying that? Curious since I just migrated here from reddit after getting banned for expressing such sentiments.

Like I said, any actually FUNCTIONAL age verification. Your example verifies absolutely nothing.

7 hoursI could see the first one, if it all takes place in a chatbox. Like, they have someone talk to you in chat for a few minutes to verify if you pass the turing test, then randomly once a month do it again.

7 hoursIt’s going to get to the point where anything easy for humans will be easy for machines too.

7 hoursWhat anticompetitive practices? I figure it is more just a matter of userbase inertia: they already have the huge user base, so other forum user bases are small which makes people not want to migrate there.

7 hoursI wish there was a more active general gaming community here. I just migrated over from reddit, and haven’t found one that isn’t a ghost town.

But it probably realistically has to be organized on it, since that is the global communication network…

Age verification requires doxxing yourself in order to actually work, and if it doesn’t require doxxing yourself then it won’t work and it can be bypassed, so pointless capitulation granting ease into more authoritarian forms in the future. You don’t see why any actually functional age verification is a problem while fascists are trying to control all the digital architecture?

Unfortunately they would have to pay people to do it so probably never happen. Although seeing them try to implement an LLM to try to tell if humans pass the Turing test would be kind of hilarious.
