Angry upvote you horrible genius.
Angry upvote you horrible genius.
Is it advertised on youtube? If yes, it’s a scam.
Your last paragraph literally counters everything you said but the last sentence.
So yes, the 40 and 50 series are named one step too high on the stack. Yes, the pricing increases have been wild, and it’s frustrating that demand is high enough to support it and regulators aren’t stepping in to moderate the MSRP mishandling. Yes, Nvidia mismanaged the 50 series launch in multiple ways, from bad connector design to rushing the 5090 to misleading marketing on frame generation and probably underbaked drivers.
That’s it
The root cause was NVIDIA trying to peddle defective dies because they decided to slot up every SKU to dig more money out of their regarded fans. That cut-down 5090 would likely be sold as a 5080. The current xx70xx skus are 5060s in reality and so on and so forth. In all honesty, you get what you deserve. As soon as the hobby became popular, sense and knowledgeable user went out the window.
Please yes, I look forward to cheaper routers due to oversupply.
Likewise.
I think OpenAI had a good run but with Ilya gone, they’re just capitalising on the goodwill they accrued before turning to the darkside.
Regarding the GM, i think it’s a terrific idea, however, there isn’t enough good data to train a good GM expert, hence the difficulties you experienced. If I were in your place, I’d try to generate sythetic GM datasets with wither GPT or other supplier or both, curate them as well as possible and train a small purpose model to do it. A similar approach to DeepSeeks panel of experts. I hope you succeed, and look forward to enjoy campaigns curated by your bot.
Godspeed
I’m not a ludite, I run my own llms and think “AI” is a massive step up in productivity in science and automation.
I think OAI and the likes are a massive grift. If anything, DeepSeek showed everyone that the path forward to mass adoption is open source and a REAL marketplace of ideas. The grift is convincing illiterate idiots that their money is well invested in bringing a closed source shit product to the masses. Outside of novelty, a 1B model running locally is more than enough for the overwhelming majority of the uses people give AI, write or re-write text.
I’m appalled our retirement money is in the hands of these people. Then I stop, look around and see world leaders (and first ladies) launching memecois and rug pulling to the tune of billions and realise it’s just another step towards idiocracy.
Edit: spelling
Guys like Bannon or Elmo are the visible faces of a much broader movement that has been diverting funds towards the European far right. We’re seeing a reverse paperclip op. There isn’t a single far right European party with electoral expression that wasn’t involved in some scandal about funding of dubious origins (in countries where there is oversight).
This is an Afd talking point bit by bit and is part of a concerted effort from the anglophone fascist world to get that nice Swiss lady as a Kanzlerin. There’s so much money being pumped into EU far right is not even funny.
95% failure to convict indicates the defendants may have shown rehabilitation and regret so the judge applied jurisprudence. I know this may be a foreign concept to a US american but in the civilised world, prison is a rehabilitation solution, not a “for profit” slavery distributor to help GAP and McDonald’s get free labour.
The level of user sophistication required to use modern “Ai” in a productive useful way puts it squarely beyond the reach of the masses. Alphafold is fucking awesome, chatGPT O3 is nothing but a gimmick.
The Americas, sometimes collectively called America, are a landmass comprising the totality of North America and South America.
I mentioned Mexico and Canada because, when interacting with US americans online, the corolary is the knowledge of geography is inversely proportional to the distance to the borders of the U S of A. I was trying not to be ableist.
Don’t cite the old spells to me witch, I was there when they were written.
The dot com bubble was the same exact BS, and elmo was there already prepared to grift to the wazoo. The whole AI thing is a massive grift with no mass market use. B2B? Maybe Science? Definitely but mass market is NOT the use case.
Gen Z/Alpha are the new boomers. I teach hundreds of so called intellectual cream of the crop per year. It was bad before the pandemic, it’s seriously concerning now. The youth has largely divorced from reasoning and are used to reason in simple inputs to simple output. I am genuinely scared.
*US American
America is a continent whith countries such as Canada or Mexico (for now).
This is why the US has gone to so much trouble to discredit the French in popular culture as “cowardly surrender monkeys”, because they are the only western people that has the balls to put necks in guillotines. Allez les gars!
Meanwhile the truly exceptional US Americans have been collecting weapons for decades, that are used only to murder minorities and children in school, when some orangegutang hijacks the government they send thoughts and prayers or make posts on twitter… The well armed militia stays silent.
They didn’t and this doesn’t work as intended. They did however create a company to cash in on desperate people.
Oh ffs
Queue a similar exchange programme like it happened last gen when the same sales pattern emerged.
