Right, but that’s just your experience as an agent. I was the one managing all of the campaigns for a global call center in the dialing platform, building the IVRs, etc, so I got to become familiar with many dozens of campaigns. Even ones that were supposed to just be customer service usually had something they were supposed to push.
Like was said, only customer service doesn’t generate revenue, so companies often try to recoup that cost.

Nah, call centers do generate income because they force their support agents to try to up sell you on other products and services.
I’m about to block you, but I thought I’d explain why first so you can address it before others do the same. Please note that this isn’t being said in any malicious way what so ever. This is purely about advertising practices, not your content.
By posting the same picture in a bunch of different communities at the same time, it can flood people’s feeds. Seeing the same post over and over is pretty annoying. Even if I like the content, I’m inclined to block the poster.
I get the process of building up a customer base requires self promotion, but flooding the market is going to turn a lot of people off to what you want to sell. It’s all a balancing act.
Lemmy isn’t active enough for the frequency of identical content that you’re providing. You’ll have better luck spacing things out like 60% more, or generating more unique content and spacing it out like 40% more.
I’m not sure if cross-posting to other communities instead of creating new posts will help that, but it might be worth a try.

No one said anything about triggering an addiction, or being addicted at all.
It’s the act of defending your alcohol consumption that can make you sound like an alcoholic.
Not being healthy is by definition causing harm.
I guess I’m lucky. Since I retired from drinking no one has pushed back when I’ve declined to partake.
They’re not completely wrong, though. The studies show that no amount of alcohol consumption is healthy for you.
But, they were an asshole for how they said it.
I wish our local brewery would do this. I love hanging out there, but I’m not a huge root beer fan and that’s the only non-alcoholic beverage they have.
That’s the point, though. Even if you have one beer a week, defending that if challenged to quit will make you sound like an alcoholic.
Not really. Say you have one beer a week after mowing the yard. I could say, “If you aren’t addicted, then just quit.”
