Not just games; everything. They want everything in the cloud, and remember, the cloud is just someone else’s computer. They want to own it all, and rent it to you by the hour, and then sell all the data they gather from you as well.

Tbh, a five year old phone can absolutely be high end. Mine is four years old and I absolutely consider it high end.

They absolutely don’t want you to have computers anymore.

To be fully honest, I do think that people too quickly dismiss certain graphic styles as being inherently easier to render or some such. Like, just because it’s a Lego game doesn’t mean it can’t use cutting edge graphics tech and super high resolutions and crazy lighting, etc.
That said, this game looks to be horribly optimized. What a joke.

I’m terrified of the “rent compute” future we’re heading towards.

Thankfully for Gamestop, the market of people interested in buying physical game discs is larger than you alone.

You know how Discord just got in some hot water for trying to force id scans on everyone? This is why.

The rise of id scanning technology is not a coincidence.

I would not personally suspect availability concerns for the controller in the same way I would expect for the frame and machine.

Maplestory, even though I haven’t played it in a decade or so.
More recently, it would be Anno 1800.

Astro Bot and Demon’s Souls remake. Presumably Yōtei and Intergalactic won’t be making their way to PC, either.

That is irrelevant to BorgDrone’s point. Even in those days, legally you’re buying a license with that physical purchase.

Joysticks not offset like a typical controller.
What’s a “typical” controller? Playstation controller joysticks haven’t been offset since they invented the concept in 1997.
Also, I didn’t assume anything. I quoted your own words.

Not at all. I’m primarily a PC gamer and that price is just a little too steep for me.

$150 CAD is gonna be an instant wait for sale from me, dawg.
The fact that Trump or any of his family will never see the inside of a cell is the single largest thing that destroyed my faith in humanity.
