We also always locked the door… but I guess some people don’t in a moment of passion.

But did she charge? Guess we’ll never know.

You could look for wide shoes, not all brand make them. So, instead of looking for size 12, look for 12 Wide (I think it’s usually shown as the letter B, so 12B). I’m a cis woman with wide feet, and this is what I do.
I’m looking at them now and realizing I may need to go to a store to try them out.
Sploosh, adding to cart now.
Well, don’t just tease! Does the fucking pillow work? If yes, what’s the brand?

Bats! Lots of bats!
While this is a plush toy, it is still adorable. And you can join us at [email protected] for some real adorable bats!

You are totally right about that.

It always amuses me when local shops/restaurants give discounts to cops but not to mental health workers. Like, we often clean up trauma inflicted by cops. Get your priorities straight.

She probably did and was basically calling my bluff. Either way, it worked, and I crumbled like the liar I was.

I did the lamp thing once. The temp went up to 42 Celsius, and my mom thought I was dying. She wanted to call the ambulance, and I had to come clean. Fun times.
Does coffee count? I just woke up.
Meditation and mindfulness absolutely have scientifically proven effects.

I only wanna do it because I work for myself now. When I was a corporate worker, fuck that noise.

Obligatory

I’m going to tell a story on behalf of my husband.
He was 13 and in Boy Scouts. Their troop was told that some older scouts went missing and the troop had to look for them. They formed patrols and were searching for over 3 hours when the leaders said that the older scouts were located; one of them was disemboweled and needed a medical helicopter to come from Denver. That was the “oh, crap!” moment…
Turns out the whole thing was staged. No one ever went missing. They just wanted the troop to learn how to do search and rescue. There were younger scouts there who were crying and terrified, definitely scarred by the experience.
And that’s how things were done back in the 80s.

Knitting. Super cheap to start, you can pick up a set of needles and some acrylic yarn for under $20. But when you start getting into nice yarns and bigger pieces, you are spending hundreds of dollars on yarn alone for a blanket or a sweater. And you want nice needles in all sizes as well as all types (double pointed, regular and circular)… more hundreds of dollars.
Moral of the story is if a friend knits you something with nice yarn, please appreciate it. Lots of effort and thought went into it.
Every time I eat beets and asparagus, I forget about their effect and get horrified by the aftermath.
