I’ve been making this argument every single time. What we’re living through right now is a mean idiot in charge of the government with a relatively smart, evil fucker pulling his strings. Not a bunch of morons with a 1st grade reading level who are, at the very least, not doing blatantly evil things. The folks in Idiocracy are indeed idiots, but they’re well-meaning idiots. These folks are just plain malicious assholes doing everything they’ve always wanted to do because they’re just corrupted individuals.

I’d much rather live as I am (I was the “gifted kid” in school) in Idiocracy than where I do now. Idiocracy was actually merit based. These fuckers are cultish in everything they do.

Some photographer took a picture of a random cliff that looked amazing in the sunlight and that picture just happened to include her home at the time. Except no one knew that and her subsequent blow up in trying to get the photo removed led to everyone knowing that her home was in the picture, and if she hadn’t made a fuss, it would have continued being a secret.

This is about my upgrade cadence, except for storage. I ran my Ryzen 1600 until the 7000 series dropped and upgraded mobo+RAM at once for about $600.

I then moved the old parts to another case to use as a low load server only for both the motherboard and CPU die within a few weeks. 🫡

Yeah, no, of course. But that’s kinda my point: there was still an initial pairing. I’m not trying to be antagonistic or anything. I just find it a bit silly that one could research how to replace their entire OS with one they’re not familiar with but not realize they’re gonna have to re-pair their BT devices.

Then again, I think we’re all guilty of sometimes missing small details. I once put a PC together for a buddy and couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t post only to eventually realize I was a dummy who forgot to plug in the CPU power. 😂
