

You mean, argue about them? Because I don’t see a lot of good conversations regarding some video games unless it is a hivemind or a circlejerk. It must be on some universally agreed upon ruling before engaging some video game discussions, if not, then bickering or pelting virtual stones at the different thinker with opinions that goes against said hivemind.



For a large part, yes. It’s just fuel to the fires of pointless arguments.
I’m sure development studios and individuals have a sense of pride and accomplishment in receiving any award for their work. But, even then, there’s going to be volumes of people who’re going to always feel like their favorites were snuffed for reasons not known to us and it just makes more arguments than actual discussions.
