I grew up speaking Slovenian and Croatian but then moved to Germany where I went to school. Later I immigrated to the UK and learned English which I speak fluently as well. I found that my dreams tend to be in the language of whatever country I live in after a while. I can sing really well in Slovenian and Croatian but not in English or German despite knowing songs in all the languages. I keep a journal that is written in English but when I want to be really expressive I use Slovenian. When I talk to family back home, my friends say it sounds like we are arguing, but it is just how we talk with a lot of passion. My personality changes a lot with a different language.I am more serious and together feeling when I speak English. I have found that languages hugely impacts culture and how people behave or don’t behave respectfully towards others., hence the purges of all words from every government document mentioning DEI.
He made a lot of cheap cuts popular, like trotters, pork shanks, oxtail, shin of beef or brisket and they are now really expensive, and I hate that he did that. But his recipes are ok, simple and mostly tasty.
