Fusion has always been my favorite. I “want” to not like how linear it is compared to the rest of the series, but when I get started playing it again that never seems to matter to me anymore. And because of that game structure, the game is very well broken up into chunks of 20-30 minutes of gameplay at a time which makes it excellent for playing on a portable console. I played it on a borrowed GBA-SP for the first time back in the day, a few more times after that emulated, and most recently I’ve been playing it again on my Steam Deck within the past week, I’m like 2/3 of the way back through it again, just took down Yakuza for the Space Jump last night before bed.

Fusion is also a huge story point for the series as a whole. It introduces the X and by doing so gives context to the existence of the metroids. And seeing that referenced again later in Dread was maybe one of the coolest moments I’ve experienced in the Metroid series.

Speaking of Dread, that one is a very close follow up though. I was super hype for Dread when it released and it is one of few games in recent memory that completely lived up to that hype. I was a big fan.

I agree with this. A wedding exists to celebrate love and happiness. I could never be upset at someone bringing additional love and happiness to my celebration of love and happiness. People who are have missed the point of a wedding, I think.

If they’re an asshole about it and completely take over the wedding with it, sure. But that doesn’t really happen. Your wedding has an invite list, everyone you invited came here to see your wedding, presumably they aren’t all itching to go see this other extra proposal/wedding that cropped up out of nowhere.

Nearly an entire generation lacks the wisdom that comes with struggle and now we’re reaping the effects of that.

They are definitely super willing to break the seal, just nobody has built a good target ID system yet that won’t fire on civilians.

If you just need everyone in a 10 mile radius dead, you could send in the hunter bots, or you could just shell the area with heavy artillery from three countries away. We already have that problem solved. Once we have a reliable target ID system I guarantee you’ll start seeing unmanned equipment in war.

The aviation industry can absorb a whole lot of sin before they’re on equal danger footing with automotive, if for no other reason than sheer volume. Most people, unless you fly constantly for work, get on a plane once a year or less. Most people drive to work almost every day. Roads have traffic, the skies do not (at least, not nearly to the same extent, midair collisions can happen but they’re rare).

I have no doubt the skies are about to become noticeably less safe, but they’ve got a looooot of catching up to do before they dethrone the automobile as one of the top 3 leading causes of death in America.
