2 daysThese posts are great. I wish I had some idea what this game was…
it looks like the N64/PSX/Dreamcast era. Hmm.
Wow, they must have merged together in my mind, because I thought there was only one movie, but I definitely saw both in theaters.

1 monthOh my god, you mean I didn’t have to do all this manually? I’ve spent so much troubleshooting time fixing file names.

1 monthI’m not confident enough in my knowledge to ever open up my server externally, even after reading some methods that are allegedly safe (or relatively safe). I’d just rather not take the risk of me misunderstanding something or failing to keep current with vulnerabilities.
I suppose I see the appeal if Plex handles that without hassle, but man… not for $750. Lol

1 monthI didn’t get into self-hosting until recently, and people recommended Jellyfin, so I don’t even know what I’m missing with Plex, if anything. It feels like Jellyfin does everything I need.
They can also choose to intentionally make slightly less money if there’s something they want to do first, or spend resources/time on stuff that doesn’t bring in revenue. In a publicly traded company, the investors can sue for mishandling their investment.

Technology@lemmy.world•‘Irresponsible’: backlash as Utah approves datacenter twice the size of ManhattanEnglish
2 monthsThat’s long-term thinking. I assume it’s like a ponzi scheme: everyone who puts money into something like this thinks they’ll cash out before the problems occur.
Why do I feel like the ones left holding the bag are going to be the taxpayers/residents somehow?
There seems to be a significant quality gap between publicly traded and private gaming companies.
