I have a working solution already so unraid isn’t really appealing to me, and as you say, isn’t FOSS. It’s one of the multiple reasons I’ll never switch to Plex, even if some argue it is a superior product to Jellyfin.
But I use NixOS (btw) so it’s fairly low maintenance once it’s setup, and easy to redeploy if things ever go completely sideways due to hardware failures etc
They don’t care about crime at all, it’s just a dogwhistle for black and brown people. If anything, this is a benefit because it means they can inflict harm on more people they don’t like during the “crackdown”.

Neither Reddit nor Lemmy are monoliths. Yes, some are likely being hypocritical, but it’s also likely that there isn’t much overlap between those that were critical of Nvidia’s FG and not of LSFG. I say this because there is still a lot of people shitting on FG in general, whether it’s justified or not.

If you’re technically inclined, self-host navidrome or jellyfin.
If you just want music and don’t care about the streaming part, bandcamp (although it does have some basic streaming I believe).
If you want streaming and aren’t technically inclined, Tidal.
I get where you’re coming from, but it’s not like there aren’t multiple obvious alternatives (and not just on the fediverse). And someone being clued in enough to boycott Spotify should have no trouble finding those alternatives. Additionally, the platform being owned by an outright Nazi should give even the most out of touch people pause.
But agreed that people could stand to be a bit more tactful about it and not immediately go on the attack.
Not to mention giving 100s of millions of dollars to fund Joe Rogan and his extreme right-wing propaganda.
Think this one needs a bimodal curve with the two peaks representing the “caught up in the hype” average coder and the realistic average coder.
