Wing Commander on the ol’ Dosbox.

Wing Commander on the ol’ Dosbox.
You know how old I was when I learned the most important rule of firearms? Five.
I learned it from watching an anime called Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs.
The rule is “the weapon is always loaded, treat it as such”.
When a fucking anime from the 80s has better firearms safety than a boatload of CERTAIN people, something is horrifyingly wrong.

I had the Brimax Myths and Legends, started a love affair with ancient mythology and storytelling that lasts to this day.
IDKFA, IDDQD
DNKROZ, DNSTUFF
Having hot water on hand can be pretty important in a warfare context…

And if I DO want a triple A game, I wait a couple of years and then for a Steam sale.

Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball.
Yes the DoA franchise has a solid fighting game mechanic, but this was made purely for the fan service.
Ah, vat grown servitors!
The Will of the Omnissiah Be Done!
You are one adorable motherfucker.

Cook for my mom.
She was going through a tough time at school and I decided to make something for her because I knew she was exhausted having to cook.
It was the first time I ever cooked something more complex than a fried egg and certainly the first time I tried to make a complete meal.
Looking back, it was pretty simplistic. Daal, stir fried string beans with chicken and normal white rice.
Still, I’ll never forget how happy she looked coming home from school that day.

My vacations (at least since I got married) are actually less relaxing than work. My wife likes to cram tons of activities and stuff into our vacation so we spend a lot of it rushing from one place to the next, getting up way early to get to the airport and so on.
Here’s the thing. Until I got married, I never kept food for very long in my fridge. I pretty much went out and bought exactly what I was going to cook to have enough meals for the week. I’d cook all that up on Saturday night and be good to go.

Assault and two wheels. Things dudes should strive to avoid.

It’s on my list.
Right after my current replay through Rogue Trader and putting a couple dents in my pile of shame.
It is an eminently punchable face

Huh, guess AI really IS getting to be indistinguishable from humans. It’s certainly got the inhumanity down pat.

I believe I will continue to use the same fridge that has been in the house since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Uh let’s be honest here, the UNSC was straight up losing the war against the covenant. The only way they survived was to ally with them.
Here’s something that helped me understand wave/particle duality of a photon.
A cone can be, from a 2D standpoint, a triangle or a circle. A photon is either a wave or a particle from the 3D standpoint. It’s only when you increase the dimensions of perception that you see the object for what it truly is.
I’m reminded of this: Everyone starts with a full sack of luck and an empty sack of experience. The trick is to fill the latter prior to running out of the former. Oh and the sacks are not necessarily the same size.
