Similarly, 404 Media revealed last year that a sheriff’s office in Texas searched ALPR data to track down a woman suspected of self-managing an abortion. The officer searched 6,809 different camera networks, including in states where abortion access is protected by law. The search record just listed the reason as: “had an abortion, search for female”.
“State’s rights” everyone.

6,809 did they use AI? Do they search almost 7,000 cameras in attempts to help rape victims?

By this logic should the same technology be used to root out dirty cops? The US will have none left at this rate.

Probably just a few bad cops. Most.of them are good and wouldnt do this right? It’s not like it’s a systemic culture of abuse and corruption behind this is there?

I don’t know who needs the reminder, but do not get involved with cops, off-“duty” or not, FOR ANY REASON.

13 hoursGee who would have thought the ones who are shooting protestors would also be using surveillance as a way to stalk women who dared to tell them no! I wouldn’t doubt if a large majority of those who sign up to be cops did it for the power trip.

Absolutely saw this coming a mile away - but I was told I was an alarmist. Fuck fascism and kill all fascists.
