    So they say capitalism is a system that gives you many options. (oh do they now)

    People try to downplay the inevitability of the destruction of a supposed “free market” and the tendency towards monopoly.

    Like any kind of plant that you’re growing, you want to bear fruit. There’s only so much fruit that even the most genetically engineered tree can produce.

    There’s only so much juice that can be squeezed as well.

    So when I think of the state of affairs in the world of the arts, I think of natural structures and the strategy of production.

    There’s about the same output but it appears that you have many choices. All those choices are watered down garbage.

    Art sometimes is not to be pleasurable. It is not to be hedonistic and it’s not meant to be consumed passively.

    What we have nowadays is just the modern variation of what Edward Bernays and all the shitheads that came up with to structure our society. Academia, the business leaders, the … You name it, all these rich assholes.

    So I guess what I’m trying to say is you have a lot of choices. For instance cereal but it’s all just food coloring, processed grain, and sugar.

    One day, you’ll just accept AI because you’re too dumb to know the difference. That’s the key to it all.

    They are trying to take away your ability to think.

    Shit, they are using it now to make military strikes.

    So, how about just not having any subscription services.

    How about not thinking that you need to watch entertainment, but to always be improving.

    Like, you take away something with you that’s useful like knowledge or a skill.
