For me, a general lack of curiosity how things work, from human behavior, to technology, to economy, and everything else. And how you inform yourself.

Of course you can’t always be interested in everything and can’t know how everything works in detail, no one has time for that. Also you might be wrongly informed in certain instances. But if you’re so uninterested that you don’t know how almost anything works even in basic ways, or you for example only get your information from “my parents told me” or “I only believe what I have seen” or similar, I’m seriously questioning your general intelligence.

Otherwise, their reaction when their beliefs are challenged. I don’t necessarily mean when they’re told they’re wrong, but when they do something and reality gives them an unfavourable result, idk, like a magnet not sticking to a surface, if they keep trying to stick it on instead of maybe evaluating that the surface (or “magnet”) is not magnetic.

Autistic people are famously known for not getting sarcasm. Usually they assume you’re not intelligent when you sincerely make statements that are nonsensical or obviously wrong. Who is “low intelligence” there?

As always, companies aren’t people, they are comprised of people. Not all of these people are diabolically evil. And even then, likely the people making the diabolically evil decisions have some streak in them that’s not diabolically evil.

For example, you can’t honestly say that none of the Disney movies had any positive effect on people. Same with stuff that Nintendo does.

Sure, overall the verdict is “diabolically evil”. But there are positives within the overwhelmingly negative.

Binding the interface is definitely the recommended way to go about it, it was in some manual when I first informed myself about torrenting. But it’s not required and easy to miss if you don’t consume correct resources, it’s not obvious.

You should do something with your life.

Counterpoint: this word “should” and this whole expectation is very toxic. There is no need to “do something with your life”. If you’re fine where you are now and how your life is going, then you should keep doing that. Many people want to somehow instill a yearning in you to “get more”, but there must be a limit sometime right? You can’t always have more? Maybe this is just your point to stop, and you should have a partner who’s also fine with this and doesn’t suddenly want you to change.

Why is no one mentioning here that the business model shouldn’t exist? If a copy can be made basically for free, there is no reason not to make it basically free. We should be providing everyone with the means to live regardless of their ability to sell stuff. If everyone was free to do whatever they please because their existence was provided for, people would still make media, because people love making things like that.

Of course that might mean that in the short term, while we don’t do this, pirating might mean that some things stop existing. I’d be completely fine if all Hollywood movies and other shit disappeared overnight. Maybe then people would finally come to the understanding that our current model of doing things sucks.

There is no perfect person. We’re all just varying degrees of compatible. Once a certain threshold of compatibility is reached, you can call someone “perfect” or “soulmate”, but the reality is that it’s just the first person like that you met. If you met another person with that threshold of compatibility, that one would’ve been “perfect”.

There are so many people in the world with which you could be so compatible with to call them “perfect”, that we usually find them within a few months/years within any given area. That is only possible if there are very many “perfect” people in the world for you, otherwise most people would never find their “perfect” person, as the chance would be too low to meet them.

As such, move on from this person and find your next “perfect” person, maybe this time try one that wants to be associated with you :D
