    It’s manufactured attention demand. The same thing happened in November 2020.

    We had a nice four year break and we’re right back at it.

    Anyone with news alerts turned on, do yourself a favour and turn them off.

    The news is always available - if and when you want it. You don’t need to allow yourself to be barraged by it 24/7.

    At some point I got a BBC notif that shortened “Theresa May invokes article 51” to “Theresa May invokes article 5” because the 1 didn’t fit the in width of my phone screen.

    That one woke me up
